Right Now

We seem to constantly want to move to the next thing. The next time, the next level, the next customer, the next week, the next version, or the next trip. As you stand there your mind longs for what’s next.

If we aren’t focused on what’s next we think about what happened. Replaying the conversation, the awesome feeling, the abuse, the good ole days, the beginning of the circumstance.

Why do we do this?

Because we are ultimately arguing with what is, especially when it isn’t what we wanted. Fretting over what might happen is worse. This causes anxiety, not because of reality but because of how you THINK about reality. You will be miserable if you are unable to be present in the moment and accept what IS.
